INTRODUCTION

Build Your Healthcare Skills and Prepare for a Career in Personal Support Work

We invite candidates who meet our eligibility requirements to join us at our Campus in North York, Ontario, Canada for a specifically designed program that provides both applied learning outcomes and assistance with finding employment opportunities within their relevant fields.

Our workshops include practical, on-the-job experience, as well as the resources to plan a transition into careers in Canada.

Personal Support Workers (PSWs) play an important role in supporting individuals who need assistance with daily living, personal care, mobility, and emotional well-being. They help promote dignity, independence, comfort, and quality of life for individuals across different healthcare and community settings.

The Personal Support Worker program is designed to develop the knowledge, practical skills, and professional attitudes needed to provide safe, compassionate, and person-centred care. Students learn about personal hygiene, safety and mobility, nutrition, body systems, health conditions, cognitive and mental health challenges, and the responsibilities of a Personal Support Worker.

Whether you are beginning your healthcare career, exploring distance education, or building on previous healthcare training, the appropriate PSW pathway may help you develop the skills needed to pursue opportunities in Canada's healthcare sector.
