Accounting and Business Information Administration (ABIA)

INTRODUCTION

This program delivers the necessary skills and knowledge of accounting principles, bookkeeping, business management and computerized accounting software to face the challenging career paths. Students will learn the practical steps involved in computerized accounting and business administration.

In this practical and hands-on course, you will:

  • Explore how people, information, computers, networks and processes come together to create cohesive business solutions.

​

  • Learn how to use accounting systems to record and analyse business activities, prepare financial statements and management reports, and employ financial statements to guide investment decisions.

​

  • Understand how to use information from financial accounting systems to develop operating strategies and evaluate business performance.

​

  • Gain skills in designing, building, and implementing software solutions, analysing existing systems, and recommending solutions to address the information needs of organisations.

​

NOTE:  This diploma program has been approved under the private career college act, 2005

APPLICATION PROCESS (step-by-step)
  1. Fill out online application form

  2. Receive conditional offer letter within 5 business days (if all admission requirements are met)

  3. Pay course deposit fee outlined in the offer letter, meet any conditions 

  4. Sign the enrollment contract and review the student handbook and policy statements 

  5. Receive Letter of Acceptance within 5 business days (if all conditions of the offer letter are met)

  6. Apply for study visa (payment of the full semester fee is recommended for students to have the highest success rates for their visa acceptance)

Academic Requirements

  • Secondary School Diploma or a mature applicant​

​

  • Mathematics: Grade 12 - C, or equivalent course

English Language requirements

If English is not your first language, we require you to demonstrate your English language proficiency before an unconditional offer will be made to you. For the majority of our courses, we accept the following tests

  • IELTS (academic) -  6.0 with no band less than 5.5​

​

  • Pearson Test of English (PTE) - 51 with no less than 42

Completion of the ABIA program leads to up to 21 credits transferring into Paier College's Bachelor of Science in Marketing program.

Completion of the ABIA program leads to up to 30 credits transferring into Aspire College's Advanced Diploma of Business Management. 

Completion of the ABIA program leads to up to 20credits transferring into IBU's Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) Degree in International Management and Technology.
