INTRODUCTION
Toronto Economics and Management College offers Academic Foundations and Language Upgrading programs focused on preparing learners for their academic journey toward post-secondary education in Canada.
The purpose of these programs is to ensure that learners who have a strong grasp of the English language can receive the additional training and skills necessary to meet English language entrance requirements or achieve English language proficiency benchmarks that can provide opportunities for career advancement.
The Academic Foundations program also provides a framework to introduce students to the Canadian post-secondary education system, helping learners develop the academic knowledge and skills required for their future educational pathways.
We also offer examination preparation courses. These programs prepare professionals specifically and only to write qualifying examinations.
NOTE:
The Private Career College Act, 2005 do not apply to any of language training programs or that do not meet the definition of a vocational program.
ACADEMIC PROGRAMS
Team
12 Months
This program is designed for learners who have an intermediate level of English proficiency, with a solid understanding of reading, writing, listening, and speaking components.
IELTS Score of 5.0 overall Academic or A1 CEFR is the minimum required for application.
6 Months
This program is designed for learners who have an intermediate-advanced level of English or French proficiency, with a strong understanding of reading, writing, listening, and speaking components.
IELTS Score of 5.5 overall Academic or A2 CEFR is the minimum required for application.
Pre-University
Pre-University Academic Foundations
The Pre-University program is designed to challenge students academically and help them acquire the skills and knowledge needed for success at the university level. These courses empower students to explore their interests, refine their skills, and make informed decisions about their academic and career pathways.
